Upgrade page for the Quantum Mechanics software

Upgrade procedure
  1. (optional) To be informed about future upgrades, please provide your e-mail address here : before you proceed to step 2 below.
  2. Download file quantumMechanics.jar by clicking on the button below (the warning message you might encounter is normal as this is an application file), then move the downloaded file to a folder of your choice (e.g. c:\QuantumMechanics).


  3. If Java is not already installed on your computer, please follow the instructions from https://www.java.com/en/download/ in order to install the latest version.
  4. For proper operation, this software requires data files from the Quantum Mechanics cd-rom you already own. When running the program for the first time, you will have to provide the location of these data files. This may consist of the location of your cd-rom drive but you might prefer to first copy the cd-rom files in a folder of your hard drive, e.g. c:\QuantumMechanics\cd.
  5. As a soundtrack explains each animation, please make sure that sound is activated on your computer.
  6. Using the File Manager, double-click on file quantumMechanics.jar for starting the program.
